Stora Enso Wood Products wants their digital log logistics system to be automized and digitalized for their five branches in central Europe to start at the wood and going over the log storing space and the sorting to the factorial measurement. Besides the optimisation of the transport logistics, the time saving when the goods arrive and the invoicing process the safety at the log storing space was of importance for the Finnish-Swedish Wood-Group. The wood logistic expert Latschbacher, Kronstorf got the contract for the complex Software project.

Summary of the Forstmesse Luzern 2023

24th – 27th august 2023 – Luzern, Switzerland
From 24th till 27th august 2023 the Forstmesse Luzern took place after a 4 years break. The visitors and customers were interested in the newest trends and product innovations. At the booth of Latschbacher the electronic sliding caliper with its freely configurable keybord and the bluetooth transmission was very interesting for the visitors. Due to new possibilities and a low price the new WinforstPro WEB was very popular as one can record wood both standing and lying down as well as adresses and working hours, all via the Internet. Additionally, we were obliged to get to know a lot of French and Italien speaking customers.

HERBST Baumsymposium

22th september 2023 – Baden near Vienna, Austria
On the 22th september 2023 Latschbacher will participate in the HERBST Baumsymposium in Baden near Vienna. The visitors can look forward to great professional lectures on trees and arboriculture. The exhibition is also a great opportunity to get in touch and exchange with experts in fields like trees, arboriculture as well as the climbing scene.

EKO-LAS fair

07th september – 09th september 2023 – Poland
The Polish subsidiary of Latschbacher ‘Signumat Polska’ celebrates its 20th Anniversary. Luckily the most important polish fair EKO-LAS in Mostki in the near of ´Swiebodzin, Poland takes place this year as well. 150 exhibitors can be found on a 23 ha sized place. Visitors can get in touch with forestry experts on a circuit of 3,000 meters.

Austrofoma

26th september – 28th september 2023 – Austria
In 2023 the Austrofoma fair takes place in Spital am Semmering. It is a well known international fair and stands out by showing the newest timber harvesting technology in use. The Austrofoma lasts 3 days and welcomes around 20,000 visitors which makes it one of the biggest and most important exhibitions of this industry sector in Austria.

Ligna 2023 in Hannover

Over the years the LIGNA established itself as the leading international fair of the wood industry in the exhibition metropole Hannover, Germany. There are not only scientific events but also special shows. Latschbacher focuses on the topic ‘industrial procurement and supply of wood’ and therefore conveys a clear statement to the wood processing industry.

Successful final apprenticeship examination trough Add-On for WinforstPro NG

Congratulations to Luca Schmidli for successfully passing the final apprenticeship examination as an application developer.
Luca Schmidli programmed the warehouse control for the two planting gardens Lobsigen and Tann for his examination paper. The Add-On is already in use in the WinforstPro Next Generation.

Interforst 2022 – Innovations presented successfully

The Interforst 2022 in Munich was a very successful fair for Latschbacher. Many customers used the opportunity for an individual consultation. Especially the electronic sliding calipers, the double-save tree protectors as well as the new moduls ‘forest management’ and ‘forestry action planning’ were presented at our booth.

Significant time saved due to flexible and mobile data collection
In order to know the forest stock at all times and ease the settlement with forestry companies as well as the sawmill and timber industry, the forest office of Zwettl Abbey invested in a digital merchandise management system. The timber logistics expert Latschbacher, Kronstorf, was awarded the contract with its WinforstPro NG solution.
